TIM BOH is a Nipaluna (Hobart)-based electronic musician and visual artist, originally from Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. His practice is unified by a single creative philosophy embedded in his name: B for order, H for chaos, and O for the beauty and perfection found in between. That philosophy is designed to hold its full range at once; sound and image that move people physically while inviting them inward, offering space for both energy and reflection, order and its unravelling.Performing with live vocals, synths, drum machines and dynamic looping, TIM BOH crafts a sound he calls neo-indie electronica, drawing on influences from Flying Lotus, Tame Impala, Teebs, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead. The result is a hypnotic, genre-blurring take on IDM and psychedelia; energetic yet reflective, ordered yet unravelling.Since 2017, TIM BOH has released seven bodies of work and performed at numerous venues across Australia, including The Bird and Mojos in Western Australia, and MONA, Dark Mofo's Night Mass, and Lightwave Festival in Tasmania. His practice also includes collaborations with acclaimed artists including Tao Issaro, Aarti Jadu, Isha Sharvani and Chamberwoman, as well as four solo exhibitions.
